Pursuant to the USA PATRIOT Act and final rules issued by the U.S. Department of the Treasury, a U.S. bank or a U.S. broker-dealer in securities (a “Covered Financial Institution”) is required to obtain certain information from any “Foreign Bank” that maintains a correspondent account with it.
As permitted by the final rules, Mizuho Corporate Bank, Ltd. has prepared a Global Certification for use by any financial institution that believes it requires a USA PATRIOT Act Certification from a Mizuho Corporate Bank, Ltd. entity, for example, an overseas branch of Mizuho Corporate Bank, Ltd.
Please use this Certification instead of asking an individual Mizuho Corporate Bank, Ltd. business to complete a separate Certification form. If the particular Mizuho Corporate Bank, Ltd. business that maintains a correspondent account with your institution is not listed in our Certification, or if you have any questions with regard to this Certification, please advise us by e-mailing us at
